Komodo National Park

Komodo National Park in the Nusa Tenggara region. Komodo National Park was established to protect the Komodo dragon. Komodo is the largest lizard in the world. Only found in Indonesia. Komodo National Park consists of three large islands, namely Komodo island, Rinca island and Padar island. Komodo dragons are carnivores. Komodo is famous for the ferocious reputation. These animals are not venomous but has bacteria in his saliva that is deadly to their prey. The number of dragons that there is very little. Hence the need for serious protection and captive breeding. Besides Komodo dragons, Komodo National Park also protects other animals and some species of coral. The Indonesian government attempted to enter the Park as one of the seven wonders of the world.
